Questions and Answers
Can I submit my comics for sharing on your website?
Sure you can. Here are some general rules: 1) 1. RIGHT TO REMOVE/EDIT: TheProject team has the right to take down or edit any material we deemed inappropriate for the purposes of this website. But really, you have to be super radical or extreme for us to do that. E.g. Something hateful like --> "GOD HATES [insert unladylike word] 2) COPYRIGHT: Your material belongs to you. You don't want this online anymore, we'll take it down and wipe out all files. 3) RATINGS WHERE APPROPRIATE: If there are any scenes that you think may make young readers uncomfortable, pls include ratings or some type of warning. 4) FREQUENCY OF UPDATE: We encourage our guests to post as often as possible. Understandably, we get bogged down by other commitments but as long as there is the intention and demonstration made towards completing what you've started, you're good to go! 4) LOCATION: All submissions will be placed under the Misc Comics section and update posts will be made by a TheProject team member (Ann/UC/Mave). 5) ART STYLE/PLOT: All submissions are subjected to our review and approval. We can't imagine anyone submitting anything less than what's already on The Project. Our goal is to change the perception that Christian entertainment is always lame, cheesy and lousy in quality. It doesn't have to be. Let's do our best! =)
What information is required for hosting comics here?
Title, plot synopsis, comic ratings (highly recommended). The scale is 1 for Least offensive, 10 for Most offensive. We suggest 1) Minimum Reader Age, 2) Violence [1-10], 3)Language [1-10], 4) Sexual Content [1-10], 4) Nudity/skimpy outfits [1-10], 5) Other Objectionable Content [1-10] and what it is!
Can I do a collab with you?
Ann: Again, it really depends on how busy I am, but I'll try!

Mave: I'll help where Ann needs it. As a whole, we welcome help from fellow Christians who are willing to share their drawing/writing talents through projects on this website. However, serious collaborations only please! Also, do remember that this is wholly on a voluntary basis (no pay). Any project requires commitment, dedication and a healthy dose of team spirit so do think about it carefully and drop us an email when you feel ready. :)

What media/tools do you use?
Please see Resources.
Can you make a tutorial?
Please see Resources.
What in the world is openCanvas?
Ann: A rendering software to the likes of Adobe Photoshop and Corel's Painter (in fact, the layering system is reminiscent of PS and the effects are like Painter). It's a shareware program and you can d/l it for free in a 30-day trial at PortalGraphics.net.

After 30-days however, you'll need to purchase the serial number to be able to save your work properly. And yes, I legally purchased my serial number.

Can I send you art, comics, and other stuff?
Ann: Sure! But remember this is a Christian site and we'll be filtering anything we deem "too controversial".
Can I commission stuff?
Ann: This might sound hypocritical after the last question but.... "Okay"! ^^;; I need the money to pay for the hosting anyway, so think of it as a donation!!

Mave: I rarely do commissions but I'll do it if Ann needs the help.

Can I request art?
Ann: Gyah, I really wish I can say "okay" to each but.... Yeah, I don't think I can manage requests ^^;; Sorry.... It really depends on my schedule though....

Mave: My apologies, I'm also temporarily unavailable for art requests.

Can I use your art?
Ann: In fact, you shouldn't even be asking me ^^ You're free to take whatever you want from me and do whatever you want with it, but remember the one you really need to ask is to Him. It's all not really "mine" anyway, but His. :) Even if you "steal" the art, well, you'll have to answer to Him too. >:D I'm merely the.... distributor ehehehe. People seem to notice the lack of love I have for my own stuff.... *shrug* I don't know. I try to keep in mind that even though I put a lot of time and effort into them and most likely other people could take it as their own, all this is really His property. It's unprofessional, yes, I admit that, but I last recall that artists have the right to consciously be unprofessional.

Mave: An email asking for permission to respective artist is very much welcomed. I presume that basic copyright laws are in order but ultimately, it's between you and God. No direct-linking, pls though. Thanks!

TheProject hosts online manga-styled comics geared toward the Christian audience and strives to provide relevant links to other Christian comics, reviews, forums and more.
We also want to take over za warudo.

Truly Random Scripture
“This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand. And the Lord asked me, 'What do you see, Amos?' 'A plumb line,' I answered. Then the Lord said, "Look, I am setting a plumb line along my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.”
-Amos 7:7-8
